La Roo's House of Pancakes

I'm an old ex-hippy that missed his era. I love the life that has been given me and all the individuals in my life espcially my dog Ruth. Music to me is the heartbeat of my father above in heaven. Every woman on planet earth are my muse. This is me just all haning out for you to get to know. I have been needing a face lift on my site now for years and here we go... Come on and see my site to boot. http://laroo.us

Name:
Location: Tallahassee, Florida, United States

There isn't much to say when it comes to me, if you don't know me you won't if you do know me you probably wish you didn't... I try my best to be my best and in that I don't steal, cheat, or kill... I would say I don't lie but then that would be one of those lies. I tell lies to make people feel better and somethings to make me feel better.

Got the Traveling Bug

Okay it's time for me to do my best and update all that may have interest in my quest for the perfect world. My problem in life has always been that my feet just want to go and this time I wanted to live in a small town like Tallahassee was in the 70's. I was actually looking for somewhere in Hoe Dung, USA. When I found out my buddy had a house in the Virgin Islands I was a wee bit hesitant about his invite to come and live until I heard him say it was almost a third world country then I just had to come.

Now I spent 31 years trying to get my hometown accessible and actually with the help of a hand full of others that felt like me we succeeded in having a somewhat accessible town. My job was and is over now and I live on the most un-accessible place on the planet but there are no traffic jams, not enough people to have crowds and I actually find the people on this Island to be the happiest people in the world.

After I left the Coffee Pub on my last day in Tallahassee I finished getting the health papers for Ruth I then took care of packing up my last box of stuff and mailing it to St. Croix. That night about nine I cranked up my car and drove all the way to West Palm Beach where I pulled into the parking lot at Enterprise Rental Car's parking lot. I then unpacked my car because to ship your car there can't be a thing in it and I put all my stuff in their office and told them I would be back for my car that I was renting to take me to Tampa. I dropped the car off and got a taxi to take me back to the Rental Car Place and on my way some five miles away I ended up in a questionable area where all the kids were running and yelling at me because I was driving slow. I know they wanted to sell me something but all I was doing was looking at street signs. I found the Tropical Shipping and left my car there to be shipped and took a cab back to the Enterprise place. That son of a gun drove me around 50 bucks worth of road to get me back to the Enterprise place. It pissed me off but hey, he screwed me, Karma is a wicked mistress. J

I then drove across the entire state of Florida to get to my plane's leaving destination, Tampa. My brother and his wife live in Tampa so I stayed in a gated community for about 6 days where I saw the rudest folk alive. I would wave at the neighbors and they would just walk on by. Crazy world but then my plane left on the 8th day of May and I haven't met an ugly personality yet.

In the beginning I was going to switch planes in Puerto Rico and get on a 8 seater with no luggage space and I was going to have to throw away my dog crate and let her sit in my lap so my chair and the dog could fit. I got to the airport and the guy at the terminal told me he could hook me up with a larger plane all the way to St. Croix so I switched planes and then wished I hadn't mailed my stuff to me as I could have really used my cloths, drugs, and other stuff I mailed to myself right before leaving Tampa so I wouldn't have the luggage to mess with on a little puddle jumper I was supposed to ride. Well Ruth hated the trip in her box and they gave her water that ended up all over her. I thought she was sweating but remembered dogs don't sweat, kind of weird wondering where and how she got all wet.

When I arrived my buddy was driving me home when the shipping place called and said my boxes had arrived so we went over and picked up all my house hold stuff and then my buddy took me every where on the Island and introduced me to a million people of which I don't remember but a few names. Great people and they all have this special handshake that you have to learn when you get here if you want to fit in. You do the old hippy hand shake and then you slide you hand till your fingers are locked then you pull away and lightly punch the others fist. Oh well while in Rome…

It was 2 a.m. and I was drunk and stoned due to the locals smoking that shit and a white guy that loves pirates but doesn't drink Rum he loves Tequila. Any way I was snockered and wanted to lay down but my roomy wanted to stay. I finally got home and for a week that seems to be all we did (meet people and party) other than get my car and get it legal. Everything about getting here was so meant to be and now I'm here and have been here three weeks and writing just doesn't seem like something I want to do right no… No inspiration so I guess I'm just decompressing from the rush, rush of the world up there. I love the slowness around here and I get my nap every day, eat like a pig, but I quit drinking a while back except special occasions.

I think it will take me a while to be able to feel normal again but my body is rested and fed, my head is swimming in people's names and faces and the handshake and all that stuff. Of course any place that people don't work and they do nothing except drink the soap opera dramas follow close behind and damn if I didn't get sucked into it a day or two. Hell I almost took a vow of silence just because people can't stop talking about others and the second you agree with them you are part of the gossip. Damn I hate that crap. I'm learning but I also love my new home on St. Croix and right now wouldn't want to be any place different.

I hope this message gets to all of my friends out there and I will eventually get to each and every one of you but I thought this would be fun to fill you all in.

Ruth say's hi and I give you my best…

I'm Moving Maan

I have to tell you all that I finally get my dream of a lifetime. Maybe not for many but for me the Island Life has always been one of my dreams in life and I for many years have thought that I get my SSDI check no matter where it is that I'm living as long as it's America and if your going to be crippled then make sure your living in paradise to soften the tedium of hanging around.

This is not complaining this is the truth. Either my personality is such that it grates on people so bad that they never ask me to go anywhere except maybe come over. I think I have two friends that will actually ask me if I want to go to the movie but other than that I will hear, "Yeah if you want to come or go its here or there but I never hear I will come by and get you. It could be I stink or it could be that people just don't want to lift that damn chair anyway but all I know is that why live in Hell and watch Bush tear the country down I won't be there to see it.

Just kidding I think if the Re publican's get in again we are doomed but then if the Republicans weren't so good at making this Obama and Hillary thing is so damaging to the democrat party. Well, in fact it shows we actually think what has McCain said about anything other than he will keep on fighting in Iraq because it needs to be done and it's detrimental for us to win this war. War, hmmmmmm... Wasn't that all about Osama bin Lauden and Saddam and weapons of mass destruction. We've done our job. Take our weapons back from everyone and let them fight and the stronger one wins and can have a country like they want. I say the people can stand against a few but they are so scared because they don't know who to trust any more. Well, how do you win something that kids and women are involved in. You have to go in and kill everyone or don't do it at all. This is the most in-humane war ever.

OIL someone told me, it's all about oil... I said no it's because of 9/11 and we fought about that and we went and found no weapons and we knew we had them as we had sold them to them. That rag tag group has been put so far under ground that they can't even show their face in public. What kind of life is that? Sick som biches... Well, it seems I was wrong and my buddy was right. I hate eating up to them damn republican folk. No government is good government is their motto as the feed us poison and put us in our homes with out the means of protecting ourselves. Yes the one world order... Ohhhhh that guy's a conspiracy freak we better just move on. Let me tell you something about politics. If McCain wins this election there is no doubt in my mind that America is in for a big sup prise. I'm afraid but then who is the president anyway? Just a figure head...

I'm going to the Islands Maan, I don't care bout nothng bro, Just have a sip of rum my maan and relax in the shade of this palm tree but if a large breeze come along maan watch out of the fallin coaco nuts.

Have a Drink on Me.

Oh boy the rain was just so incredible today that we had three fire trucks come to our corner of town and have to carry people out of their cars so they wouldn't get washed away. It gets pretty bad in the spot I live here in good old Tallahassee, Florida. I have been seeing it rain all over town and I was getting so darn tired of watering my plants knowing that April showers bring May flowers and I wasn't getting any darn rain. I hate when that happens.

Today we were blessed and all my plants are finally full for the first time in months. When I first moved here in 1977 it rained here every day at around one o'clock everywhere in this town and now we have ice caps melting and global warming and I wonder where all the darn water is going is it turning to snow for the mountain tops or what.

We have a lake called Lake Jackson and it use to be so full of water and it was huge. People would come from all over to fish that lake but every eleven years or so it drains and then a couple years will pass and it will come back. Well now it's been 10 years and I call it swamp Jackson because there is a little pond that if you walked in it the water wouldn't find it's way over your shoes to get to your feet unless you are wearing tennis shoes. So I wonder again where is all the water.

The water we have these days has hormones in it and drugs and other nasty stuff but the funny thing is bottled water has the same stuff in it so you can't win. We will all be growing gills and breasts. I bet a man will really have a baby if we keep this pace up with our waste products. Sanitary napkins, diapers, and other products that use to not be around are being thrown away and put in land fills and when we get rains like today the water runs through it and ends up in the Aquifer until the water is ruined. All ready Wakulla Springs one of the countries best known spring is now so damaged by nitrates that the fish are dieing and it use to be so clear that you could see turtles swimming around but not any more. They did away with the glass bottom boat tours and I'm not sure but I think they stopped letting people swim there. The springs claim to fame is that it was where the Creature from the Black Lagoon was filmed.

I guess if things keep on the way we have been going a blog about dieing of thirst will be a true thing to see. Water, water every where and not a drop to drink. With the things that are in our water these days boiling it doesn't even purify it but I can't see any of us stopping the use of disposable diapers or sanitary napkins or antibiotics, aspirin, and more so what have we learned here today?

Pray to God that your water won't hurt you before you drink it and believe it or this world will take us all out and reclaim us into the dust we started from.

We are Adults, Can we act like it?

Please excuse me going off on two tangents, get involved with change and drugs.

My eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the lord he hath loosed his bright white lightning of his terrible swift sword his truth is marching on.

Wow what words of power, the power of our God and father. I hear the words of America's freedom song and wonder what they would think about what our country is going through in the 21st century.

Granted the world has changed a whole lot since we whipped up on the all the enemies and their mercenaries of our country and then the north and south. We are and have been working to make all man free and in ways we are if life hasn't beaten us down so bad that we have to sell our souls for food and shelter.

Women now vote and hold really important roles in the world of America politics and the work place. Women are the back bone of our country and I love each and every one of them because of their compassion always. Blacks now vote and can go to school with everyone else and vote and they hold really important roles in the world of America politics and the work place.

In a way we don't even talk about the Asian population or the Spanish population, or any other gender or cross gender. I am just amazed that all of us with our knowledge of how things get done in America we still wake in the morning and head for work then eat lunch and after work go home and eat and either watch TV or maybe go out for a show or whatever but know one wants to fight for what they believe in any longer.

You would think that the country would look at 200 years of people needing escapes from their mundane minds and to unwind. This was and is still done by the use of Alcohol and Drugs and we all know it. When the Bible thumping hypocrites that didn't have lives of their own they turned drinking and having a fun time into the devil's play thing. Well nothing has changed and drinking came back so all of American's drink and if they don't they either buy their drugs on the street or get them from doctors. So in a way drugs are not ever going to go away but our leaders and again the Bible Thumping Hypocrites are all against it but that is usually what got them into loving my God and father. You know how they say that the worst advocate for the condemnation of a substance is someone that quit.

We need to stop the raping of our generation by the drug industry. We will always use the opiate poppy and if this is what is funding the Taliban than why are we not growing the things our selves. If our American born and bread heroin addicts bought American heroin then the funding of our enemies wouldn't have money to kill our soldiers with. I just believe that we should at least have one state that allows druggies to live and die if they want to in the comfort of their own homes. It would end the funding of our enemies and fund our collapsing housing debacle and maybe fund the medical treatment of the same instead of making them all enemies of our own country and not even knowing it because I am just going to pick a number out of my mind 65% of our countries citizens takes some type of opium derivative in the form of Percocet, Darvocet, Darvon, Oxycodone, Roxicodone, cough syrup, and even aspirins such as Codene ones twos and threes.

Granted all Countries and all substances can be abused and it is a shame that things can't be different but the world knows smoking kills yet I have no problem finding smokers standing around so why aren't they illegal? It's because they pay for too many of our over looked countries roads, salaries, and who knows what else. If we would just legalize all drugs and things in that realm our Country would prosper and in the first week or month the problem over. Yes we would take a good loss of life the first week but the hard core dopers need help and if they don't want it let them do themselves in they are adults. I believe that the death sentence should be given to the individuals that gave children any of the legalized substances.

With punishment like that we would only need 2 prisons in our country and a electric chair in each State. Or maybe a pike to stick the offenders heads on. Either way we need to stop paying for our own deaths by not legalizing drugs. And that's all I have to say about that matter.
